Summer Sales in Ohio

Justin comes to visit us before he takes off to Ohio to do summer sales. He left like the end of April 2008. He will be selling alarm systems for the summer. My nephew Cory has been doing summer sales and has done well so Justin joined him.

It has been great for Justin to get to know his cousins better. My niece Amy (Corey's sister) went out there with them too.

We are hopeful that Justin will make lots of money so he can pay for school and living expenses this coming school year.

So far he is doing well. At first it started slow, but he is learning the techniques and feeling more confident each day. He is also making friends and sharing the gospel with people he meets. Just because he came home from his mission doesn't mean that the missionary work is over.

I believe in him. He is an amazing man.

There's a lot of candles on that cake...She's 14

Shautel is 14 years old on this day....April 8th.

Again, as on every birthday, the siblings line up for the cake and ice cream.

Shautel is thrilled to be here and that all the attention is on her.

Missoula Children's Theatre

Missoula Children's Theatre presents Robinson Crusoe, May 2008. We were blessed to be able to participate in this play. One of the home school moms in our co-op group organizes the play a couple times a year in our area. We where thrilled to be able to join in with them this time. It ended up being a great experience for all of us. The Missoula people really go all out for these plays. It is amazing what they can teach these kids in just 5 days!

Shautel and Kashée were the assistant directors. They helped the children with their lines, helped with make-up, lights, and told the children when it was their turn to go on stage.

Taylor was a member of the Frowny faced tribe. They had several lines as a group and Taylor had one of his own which went like this: "What are we going to do with him"?

Connor was a member of the Camelions. His color he changed to was blue. His favorite song he sang was "Colors".

Coleson was a goat. He actually played a character, his name was Will. He had about ten lines. His favorite line was: "It' s that scrony city goat".

Slideshow of my Weightloss

50 pounds gone forever!!

Yes, you read it right, I have lost 50+ pounds! I got my 50 pound award about 3 weeks ago. I remember the first WW meeting I attended, another gal there had lost 50 pounds and I just thought...Wow, she is amazing. Then I thought could that be me? I had the same plan as her, I had the same support system as she did... I was determined that yes, it could be me if I stayed on plan and patiently watched the numbers on the scale go down and down.

Here I am; 50+ pounds lighter. I wonder if anyone at the meeting the night I got my award determined to do the same; I hope so.

Look who turned 2!!

That's right, as of January 27, 2008, Niekelle Anij Child is now 2 years old!

She gets a birthday cake...

And some clothes...

And pink shoes...

And lots of love and attention from Mom

And her family.

Her favorite part was when we sang Happy Birthday! We had to sing it to her several times to make her happy. Then she started singing it to herself. You couldn't make out all the words, but it was definitely the birthday song.

Help, I got a booger in my ear!!

It's 3:00 in the morning and someone has to wake up Mom. She couldn't possibly sleep through the night.

Connor (almost 6 yrs old): Mom, can you help me, I got a booger in my ear.
Mom: What?
Connor: I got a booger in my ear and I can't get it out!
Mom: How did you get a booger in your ear?
Connor: I picked my nose and put it there.

Oh my!

Our Newest member of the Church

There he is....Taylor Hayes Child. Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 29, 2007. Just 18 days after his eighth birthday.

Taylor with all the Priesthood holders that where present; Brother Kano, Grandpa Donald, Dad, and his brother Justin.

His beautiful family that was there to support him in this big step!

Taylor asked his big brother, Justin who just got home from his mission, to baptize him. Justin was honored. His Dad confirmed him a member of the Church.

Gotta get that "bad-boy" pose in even on this spiritual day.

"Now what do I do?.... Endure to the end??
